The Peter Max Museum. 36 x 60.
Pete Max was born Peter Max Finkelstein in Berlin in 1938, and his parents shortly fled to escape Nazi Germany. They first landed in China, then, eventually, NYC. He first rose to fame as a commercial illustrator, and then his interest in astrology led to him paint "cosmic psychedelic" paintings which were instantly successful.
He still paints, and still travels to exhibits; I met him at one not too long ago.
I love his work, and had a ton of them on my wall when I was younger.
